President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in their separate messages on Saturday on the occasion of 12th Rabiul Awwal urged the nation to follow the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) teachings for a peaceful, prosperous society.
The president said in our society we should promote brotherhood, love, tolerance, reconciliation and religious harmony to attract the people to Islam for their success in life and the life hereafter.
He said the Holy Prophet (SAW) was a model of blessing and affection therefore he was known as Rahmatullil Alameen (blessing for the world) and benefactor of mankind.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif urged the nation to follow the teachings of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) as with these qualities we can fight all kinds of extremist beliefs.
In a message on Eid Miladun Nabi he said the basic requisite to express love and respect for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) is to follow His Sunnah and teachings including unity, tolerance, fraternity, harmony, and the spirit of sacrifice and reconciliation.
PPP Co-chairman former President Asif Ali Zardari and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in their separate messages have also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi and prayed for guidance to follow the teachings of love and humility preached by the Holy Prophet (SAW).
